In the aftermath of the Supreme Court's judgments affirming various governorship elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to apologize for what it termed "senseless and irresponsible attacks" on the judiciary during the electoral process.
Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, expressed satisfaction with the Supreme Court's decisions, particularly in upholding the elections of APC governorship candidates in Lagos, Ebonyi, and Cross River States. He emphasized that while reactions to the judgments might differ, they are final and binding.
Morka reiterated the APC's consistent stance on the importance of allowing the judiciary to perform its duty without interference. He urged the PDP to tender an apology for the attacks against the judiciary, characterizing them as "senseless, irresponsible, reckless, and unjustified." The statement concluded with congratulations to the winning governors and a call for everyone to remain calm and maintain peace.
