Ilorin Emirate Professors Assert Qualification for KWASU VC Position

A consortium of professors from the Ilorin Emirate, serving at the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has asserted their eligibility to vie for the position of vice chancellor not only within KWASU but also in any university globally.

Chairman and Secretary of the group, Prof. A.G.F. Alabi and Prof. Mubaraq Sanni, emphasized their members' qualifications and ethical standards, stating, "We do not need to contest the position by seeking any undue favour." They stressed that their strategic positions within KWASU are based purely on merit.

The group highlighted its commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct, ensuring support for the university's growth and development. Professors from the Ilorin Emirate in KWASU are depicted as responsible citizens, conducting themselves with integrity and competency.

Prof. Alabi and Prof. Sanni further stated, "We are bold to say that the architects of those articles are ignorant of the situation at KWASU. With simple diligence, the mischief makers would have discovered that Emirate Professors in KWASU are occupying strategic positions purely on merit."

Furthermore, the group distanced itself from any malicious publications or unfounded allegations, reaffirming its dedication to supporting the university's current management and fulfilling its duties as intellectuals.

The statement reflects a firm stance on professionalism, integrity, and dedication to service within the academic community, ensuring a fair and transparent process in the selection of university leadership.
