The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is spearheading a protest, termed the "Plateau Peace Walk," to express discontent over the persistent killings in Plateau State and other regions of the country.
Led by prominent Christian leaders, including the state CAN chairman, Rev Polycarp Lubo, ECWA President, Rev Dr Stephen Baba Panya, COCIN President, Rev. Amos Mohzo, Bishop of Methodist Church, Jos; Rev Nkechi Nwosu; and President of Gideon and Funmi-ParaMallam Peace Foundation, Rev. Dr Gideon ParaMallam, among others, the protesters initiated the peace walk from the PRTVC Roundabout in Jos to the Rayfield Government House. The demonstration aims to convey their disapproval of the prevailing security situation.
