Gov. Ademola Adeleke Seals Commitment to Osun's Future with Signing of 2024 Budget

"Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery" Aims for Holistic State Development

In a significant move, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State officially ratified the 2024 Appropriation Bill into law on Friday, solidifying his commitment to the state's progress and prosperity. The governor, accompanied by his team, expressed determination to ensure the comprehensive implementation of the approved budget, totaling N273,908,997,410.

The appropriation bill, aptly tagged "Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery," was originally presented by Governor Adeleke during a session of the state assembly in November. The governor emphasized that the budget was strategically designed to accelerate the revitalization of various sectors within the state's economy.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke outlined the focal points of the budget, highlighting its emphasis on rebuilding critical sectors such as education, health, sports, roads, agriculture, creative industry, digital economy, and general infrastructure. Additionally, the budget includes targeted programs and policies geared towards the empowerment of women and youth.

Commending the state assembly for the expeditious processing of the appropriation bill, Governor Adeleke also acknowledged the collaborative efforts of his team with various assembly committees during the budgetary process. He stated, "We will ensure implementation as stipulated to reconstruct the society and ensure recovery of the critical sector."

The signing of the 2024 budget marks a pivotal moment in Osun State's journey towards sustainable development, reflecting Governor Adeleke's commitment to steering the state toward a brighter future.
